Peace in Chaos
Peace in chaos
“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”
The storm was real and the disciples were right to be frightened. What changed was not the weather first, but who they turned to in it. Christ can speak calm into a boat that is still taking on water, and into a week that has not finished going wrong.
One practice
Say one sentence out loud: 'Peace, be still.' Then breathe slowly, four times.
Peace Challenge
Peace Challenge: keep your phone face-down for the first ten minutes of your day.
Prayer
Lord, the noise around me is loud. Speak peace over my heart even before the storm passes.
